Do panels work in cloudy weather?
Yes! Solar panels generate electricity even on cloudy days, though output may be lower than in direct sunlight.
How long does installation take?

Do I need planning permission for solar panels?
At present, planning permission is not required for installing solar panels. However, there are specific rules and regulations for areas of conservation or on listed buildings. You should contact your local planning office to find out more.
Can I get paid for what I send back to the grid?
Yes – you can get paid for sending excess electricity back to the grid. This price you’ll get per kW varies across different providers so please contact your provider for more information.
Do Solar panels require a lot of maintenance?
Solar PV Panels don’t require any regular maintenance. The panels themselves are coated with a self-cleaning membrane. This means that with a bit of rain most light dirt will wash off. However, in the instance of heavy soiling i.e. bird droppings, a light scrub with a non-abrasive brush and warm water would suffice.
